Installation guide

Basic Installation:

pip install django-valkey

Install with C-bindings for maximum performance:

pip install django-valkey[libvalkey]

Install with 3rd-party serializers

Install with msgpack serializer:

pip install django-valkey[msgpack]

Install with msgspec serializer:

pip install django-valkey[msgspec]

Install with 3rd party compression libraries:

lz4 library:

pip install django-valkey[lz4]

zstd library:

pip install django-valkey[zstd]  # only needed before python 3.14

brotli library:

pip install django-valkey[brotli]
